How the advent calendar works
- From 1 to 24 December every daily challenge is a door: the same text for everyone, one attempt per day. Mode and word list change daily.
- Every door you open earns 50 points for taking part and up to 50 points for your place that day: the day’s winner gets all 50, the last player none, everyone in between a share. If you are the only player that day, you get the full 100.
- With equal points, whoever opened more doors is ahead; after that, players share the place.
- A missed door stays closed, but every further day earns points again. Keeping it up counts for more than one lucky day.
- Results count with a free, confirmed account (16 or older, younger players with their parents’ consent). Without an account you play each door as a practice round.
- The German and the English site each have their own calendar and ranking.
- After 24 December the top 3 places go into the Hall of Fame. Everyone who took part can print a certificate – during Advent with the current standings.

Create a group and invite everyone: this calendar then shows your own overall ranking, just among you. Create a group →
School classes
With their own accounts, a class takes part as a group. Without accounts, party mode on the projector or a private tournament with guest access works well, for example on the last school day before the holidays. More for teachers →
